It looks like Creative Assembly is heading back into the distant past for its next Total War Saga. A trademark published earlier this month suggests that the new game is heading to Troy.
Earlier today, Reddit user zhwxs posted a link to the game’s official subreddit (via PC Gamer), outlining the trademark, which was filed with the UK’s intellectual property office on July 23, before being officially published earlier this month. The trademark is classed under classes nine and 41, suggesting both digital and physical releases, and attached to Creative Assembly, but beyond that, there’s very little information to go on. Apart from a name – Total War Saga: Troy.
While the previous Total War Saga game, Thrones of Britannia, might have offered a little more ambiguity in terms of its exact setting, I can’t imagine that a game based around the famous city of Troy is going to take place at any other time than during the Trojan War.
